JEE Preparation Tips on MATHS

Every student has a dream to go and study in any one of National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Indian institute of Technology (IITs). For that students have to appear and clear the cutoff of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main as well as JEE Advance Exam.

JEE Preparation Tips on MATHS

To achieve the Success, You must do Smart Work with proper time management. JEE Main consists of 3 subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Each subject has 30 Questions. If your answer is correct then you will get 4 marks for each question but if your answer is in correct you will get -1 mark for each negative answer. Total time given for exam is 180 minutes. You need to complete each question in minimum 2 minutes. It is speed based exam as well as requires your 100% accuracy.

 You just can’t simply guess the answer. Maths is the key subject, because it also plays an important role in physics as well as chemistry. If one has great skills in maths then his chances are high to be in top thousand ranks. You must know that is a tie breaker when two students gets equal marks then their score in maths is taken into consideration for ranking.

Exam Tips on Maths:

Use proper study material:

To begin with, select proper books which clear all your doubts and make sure to learn things from basics. There is a huge collection of books which will guide you through out. If possible try to solve papers of other competitive exams; this will give you the idea of different variety of questions. 
Regarding to question paper, it is not always tough to score. 32% questions in exam will be easy, 58% will be medium and 10% will be difficult.

Time management:

This is the main point. One should divide their time according to the subjects. 3 hours – 90 questions. Try to inculcate a habit of solving papers within specific time limit. In exam you won’t have much time

Make a separate book:

Start preparing a separate book of important formulae, definitions, applications of all the topics. This will help you in revising all the important concepts at the time of examination.

Clearing maths doubts:

It is advisable to solve everything from basic. If you encounter any problem in between then try to solve it with your friends, mentors. 

Practice weak chapters:

Firstly analyse your strong and weak points. Try to solve weak chapters first, if you think you have good command on some topics then don’t waste time in solving that so that at the day of exam you are aware of all the content.

Key concepts and formula:

Learn main concepts and understand formulae of the topics, don’t just mug up the formula. This will help you in solving the twisted sums.

Lastly, give as many tests before main exam of JEE. Spare some time before exam to revise all syllabus. Study well.
