Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) held NMAT 2017 in 75 days exam window, from October 07 to December 20, 2016. The final NMAT 2017 resulthas been declared on January 17, 2017. The applicants are required to login utilizing their email ID and password for accessing the result. The scaled score for each section, a total score and a percentile ranking acquired by the applicants is furnished in the scorecard. In view of this last percentile, the applicants will now be shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds by the participating colleges. This year, there are 18 universities which will concede MBA admission taking into considerati onthe NMAT 2017 score.

What is new in NMAT 2017?

  • 5 new test cities were added this year – Pune, Baroda, Gurgaon, Jamshedpur and Manipal.
  • The candidates were able to pay the application fee using mobile wallet this year. There was option to pay via12 leading mobile wallets.
  • Only one account was needed for registration, scheduling, rescheduling, downloading admit card and score card.
  • Score of the test will be accepted by 18 renowned Institutes.

Eligibility

All the candidates must go through the admission brochure of the NMAT 2017 Participating Institutes to know their eligibility norms and the selection process. The NMAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria is detailed as follow –

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • NMAT 2017 aspirants must have graduated (10+2+3) from any recognized University in any discipline.
  • Also, final year pursuing students of their Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) can also apply for the test, provided their final year result will be declared before commencement of admissions for the academic year 2017-18.
  • No age restriction.

  • Candidate must have full time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a state or centrally recognized university.
  • He must have scored at least 50% marks aggregate in first attempt.

MBA HR (Mumbai Campus, Separate Selection Process)

  • Candidate must have full time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a state or centrally recognized university.
  • He must have scored at least 50% marks aggregate in first attempt.

MBA Pharmaceutical Management (Mumbai Campus, Separate Selection Process)

  • Candidate must have full time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in Pharmacy, Science, Life Sciences, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from a state or centrally recognized university.
  • He must have scored at least 50% marks aggregate in first attempt.
  • Candidates who hold post graduate degree in Economics, Psychology and Sociology OR B.E./B.Tech/Bio-Medical undergraduate degree can apply as well.
  • Candidates working in Pharmaceutical Companies for more than two years would be preferred.

PGDM (Bengaluru Campus), PGDBM (Hyderabad Campus)

  • Candidate must have full time Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a state or centrally recognized university.
  • He must have scored at least 50% marks aggregate in first attempt.

 

Eligibility Criteria of NMAT 2017 – Key Points

  • For full time programs, applicants having 2 and more years of post-qualification work experience would be preferred.
  • An applicant needs to produce mark sheetsof all the years at the time of document verification stage in admission process. Only consolidated mark sheets would be engaged.
  • If a college grants CGPA or grades as opposed to marks, applicant must produce relevant certificate issued by the college, for equalization/conversion of the grades into marks.

Exam Pattern

GMAC has declared the NMAT exam pattern along with the notification. It is important for all the applicants to have complete information of the test pattern. Only after analysing the test pattern, the students should proceed with covering the NMAT 2017 Syllabus. This test basically aims to assess the basic knowledge of the aspirants and their problem solving skills.

  • In the test, the objective type questions will be asked from three segments. The applicants can pick the sequence of attempting the exam according to their decision. They will be given 3 minutes to set this arrangement.
  • Duration of the test is 2 hours.
  • Total number of questions which will be asked is 120.

The candidates can change their allotted NMAT 2017 Test Centre by visiting the website of Pearson VUE site. The candidates will be required to pay an additional fee for getting the test centre changed. This fee can be paid only through credit card. The candidates can select their test centre only after they receive a confirmation email.
