Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA) conducts MICA Admissions Test for admission to PGDBM-C program comparable to a MBA with specializations in Marketing Research, Digital Communication Management, Brand Management, Media Management and Advertising.

Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA) is an AICTE approved specific establishment offering strategic managementand communication courses. It is just residential foundation offering such programmes in India.

MICAT is an acronym for MICA Admission Test is the postgraduate level entrance test for admission to 180 seats of Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Communications (PGDM-C) offered by MICA, Ahmedabad. Mudra Institute of Communication (MICA), Ahmedabad is the main establishment that offers specialization in Digital Marketing and Communications. The selection procedure at MICA is led in two stages i.e. MICAT-I 2017 and MICAT-II 2017.

MICAT 2017 is a combination of subjective and objective test, which is held twice. MICAT II was held on February 12, 2017. The consequence of MICAT II 2017 has been announced on February 22.

MICA’s PGDM-C offers the following specializations:

  • Digital Communication Management

Eligibility

Before applying for MICA Aptitude Test, applicants can check the list of MICAT Eligibility Criteria from below. Also,the applicants must note that the application fee is non-refundable.

  • There is no age limit for MICAT Registration.
  • The applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from any recognized University and must have no less than 50% aggregate marks.
  • The applicants more must have completed their graduation as indicated by the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 education system.
  • Those applicants appearing their last year of the qualifying exams are also qualified to apply.
  • In order to apply for MICAT 2017, the applicants must have a valid score in CAT 2016/XAT 2017 or GMAT (2015 onwards).

Exam Pattern

As mentioned above, the entrance test will be held in Computer-Based mode. There will be two test booklets in the exam. The Paper I will contain Descriptive questions while the Paper II will contain Objective questions. The paper will be divided into six sections, namely –

  • Quantitative Ability
  • General Awareness
  • Divergent – Convergent Reasoning
  • Descriptive test

Important Points regarding MICAT Exam Pattern 2017

Some important points regarding the exam pattern of MICAT 2017 are as follows –

  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours 45 minutes.
  • The test will be held twice in a year and will be held in Computer-Based Mode.
  • MICA has not disclosed the total marks.
  • No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the paper.
  • In the case of any wrong answer, the candidates will be penalized a 25% of the mark.
