Management Aptitude Test (MAT) has been conducted on May 7 in offline mode. The exam was held in 59 cities crosswise over India. The exam was held in a single slotfrom 10.00 am to 12.30 pm. The applicants who opted for computer based exam will appear for MAT on May 13, 2017.

In the computer based mode, MAT 2017 will be held in multiple slots. MAT exam is a national level entrance test held by All India Management Association (AIMA). It is held four times each year (in the months of February, May, September and December).

The result of MAT will be announced in the last week of May. The result will be announced online and the students will be able to check the result by submitting their roll number and registration form number. On the basis of MAT result, the participating foundations across the country will offer admission in different MBA programs. Eligibility

It is important to check the eligibility criteria before beginning with the registration. The applicants interested in applying for the test must meet the following qualification criteria.

  • Final year graduates from any discipline including, science, humanities, commerce or engineering stream from a recognised institute or university are eligible to take up MAT 2017
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation in any of stream from a recognised institute or university are eligible to take up MAT 2017
  • There is no age limit for those taking up MAT 2017
  • There are no restrictions in the number of attempts for taking up the MAT examination
  • Certain number of seats are reserved for Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, and Other Backward Classes
  • Candidates should have at least 45% percent in English as major subject and for reserved categories (SC/ST etc.) the percent is 40%.
  • On clearing MAT 2017, final year graduate students need to submit prove of their completion of their graduation. Failure to do will result in annulment of their admission to a respective institute.

All eligible candidates need to fill and submit the MAT Application Form before the deadline. Candidates have to pay Rs 1400 as examination fees for MAT 2017. Candidates can choose the mode of examination i.e. they can decide on their own if they can take up the exam in offline mode or online mode.

Exam Pattern

MAT is held in both, pen-paper mode and computer mode. In the exam, total 200 objective-typequestions will be asked from 5 sections. The term of the exam is 2.5 hours. MAT Marking Scheme

The marking system is given by AIMA and according to it,

For marking correct answer – 1 mark will be awarded

For marking incorrect answer – 0.25 or 1/4th mark will be deducted
