University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata has welcomed applications for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Economics for the academic session 2016-17. All interested candidates are able to apply before 16th August.

Educational qualification:

All interested candidate must have acquired a Master of Arts(MA) degree from a well known university/institute.

Selection procedure:

The selection of candidate will be based on Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by personal interview.

Important dates:

Last Date of application submission: 16th August

Date of RET Examination: 18th August

Date of interview: 29th August and 30th August

The Chartered Accountants Education Foundation of Newfoundland, Inc. Scholarship

The CA Education Foundation, formed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Newfoundland, offers five scholarships annually to students enrolled in the B.Comm.(Co-op) programs as follows:
- two scholarships of $2000 each to students entering either term six or seven
- two scholarships of $1250 each to students entering term five
- one scholarship of $1250 to a student entering term four

These scholarships will be awarded to students who have expressed a strong interest in pursuing the Chartered Accounting designation. Transfer Heritage Scholarship for non-Kansas residents

Transfer Heritage Scholarship for non-Kansas residents

$24,000 renewable scholarship over three years. One parent or grandparent (biological or adopted) must have graduated from K-State. Awarded to transfer students with a minimum 3.0 transfer GPA on at least 24 hours of college credit. Eligible students receive $8,000 per year. Renewable for up to 2 additional years with a 3.0 K-State GPA. Available only to out-of-state students.

ELIGIBILITY :
1) Transfer scholarship eligibility

2) Admissions application, application fee, scholarship application and up-to-date transcripts (including grades from previous term/semester) from all institutions attended must be sent to K-State by November 1 for students starting in the spring and February 1 for summer- or fall-starting students. Apply today.

3) Must have 24 or more transfer hours completed prior to arrival at K-State.

4) Must be a full-time domestic student on either the Manhattan or Salina campus.

5) Students may receive only one university transfer scholarship, but may receive PTK scholarship(s) in addition to the university award.

6) Scholarship awards are stackable with departmental and college awards.

7) Students who are readmitted (have attended K-State previously), have previously completed a bachelor's degree, or are international may be considered for college and departmental awards but are not eligible for transfer scholarships.

8) Transfer scholarship funding is limited for in-state awards, thus priority will be given to Kansas community college students.
